Natural Park of Cap de Creus

It is the only maritime-terrestrial park in Catalonia and it is located in the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula. It covers more than 14,000 hectares, which will fascinate you with the rugged landscape of cliffs, reefs, islets and coves, wildlife, flora and unique geology, megalithic monuments and the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes which houses the information office of the park. The lighthouse (19thC) lies on the hill closer to the end of Cap de Creus. It was built on the foundations of an ancient lighthouse. This is the first place on the Peninsula where you can see the sunrise and where the Sunrise Meeting is held on New Year’s Day. The environment is ideal for those who love hiking and diving.
